practical design with a positive impact.

living light

livinglight is a tessellating wall-mounted light that doubles as a wall feature and planter. The design was my response to a brief for a lighting design for a site at UNSW AD. The introduction of flora into a work space has been proven to help to improve mental health, air quality and creativity and it was with this in mind that I designed livinglight.

8corners chair

Based on the need for smaller scale living and adaptable spaces, the 8corners chair folds into a triangular prisim. It was designed to be mounted onto the wall and arranged in a pattern to create an interesting wall texture.

8Corners is a furniture concept for small domestic living spaces.

The furniture folds down for easy storage to allow for multi-purpose living spaces.

LASER CUTTING: SEAGAL WHALES

Developing my own technique that drew on previous experience with collage transfer techniques and coupled with it my love of laser cut design, the Seagal range came to life.

surface design

Concept surface designs for environmentally sustainable furniture inspired by Australian flora. This project was completed at Leeds University, England. The amazing cardboard furniture by Karton can be customised with various designs created by lasercutting or a combination of lasercutting and paper coverings. The idea is that people will engage with the furniture aesthetically, while the furniture still remains easy to make and simple to deconstruct and recycle.
